Quiz #60: Insect

In mid-May, I found this insect a short distance from the Ten Mile River in Plainville, MA.  Identify this winged creature as specifically as you can. Bonus points for naming the flowering woody plant pictured.

  1. Nope, this is a Damselfly.
    A Dragonfly rests with wings lying flat and away from the body, whereas a Damselfly rests with wings folded up above the body.
    But the species, hmmm….
