The answer is... A: Song Sparrow (Melospiza melodia).  Field marks visible in the photo include reddish-brown wing edges and tail, streaked sides, and gray and brown stripes on head and back.  The other three species have unstreaked sides and gray or grayish-brown tails.

Additionally, of the choices provided, only Song Sparrows regularly stay in Maine through the new year.  An end-of-year White-crownedChipping, or Field Sparrow would be a rare, though not impossible, sight.
