Rest Stop Ring-billed

This weekend, I stopped to observe a group of Ring-billed Gulls, who were, appropriately, resting in a parking lot of a rest area in southern Maine.  I ate lunch, and they mostly sunned themselves while sitting or standing on one webbed foot.  I snapped this photo just as one of the birds took a big yawn.  I don't often see birds yawn, do you?
